The address sign is CNC-cut through the steel face of the lower cantilever. Behind the cut numbers, a copper plate catches the COB light from above and throws a warm glow through the openings. At dusk the sign becomes the focal point of the entry — the copper reads gold against the darkened steel.
The planting beds layer native sedge, apricot agastache, orange ice plant, little giant hesperaloe, and two varieties of mangave among boulders and Mexican beach pebbles. Low-voltage path lights integrated with the COB system create a continuous warm wash across the full frontage at night.
In the back, a steel retaining wall holds the grade change using the same in-house darkening and sealing process as the front planters. The finish is a controlled patina — consistent, deep, and weather-resistant. The wall reads as a single monolithic plane against the turf, giving the backyard a clean structural edge.
